happy birthday

Only when someone is so precious to u are you willing to plan a birthday surprise for the person every single year.
i love surprises, especially when it’s planning for someone else.
And it’s always a mad rush for the preparation, cos u never know when the person is reaching,
who knows maybe today end work earlier.
Hurriedly we prepare the birthday table.
And as usual i am the look out person.
LOOVE IT.
In anticipation i wait.
As she approaches, she caughts sight of a balloon and gives me a wide and loving smile
But not before rolling her eyes.
And then as quickly as it all started, she sits down and starts to whine about her day.
happy birthday mummy.

Ice Cream buffet at Ion swensons

Went out with my family to have dinner at the new ion shopping mall. My sister heard that the swensons there have an all desserts buffet so we decided to go check it out and give ourselves a little treat.

There’s also a guy who does the waffle on the spot for you. My sister is the most excited of all because she loves eating sweet things, be it day or night, she can even eat it all day long.

Did you know in Thailand, the swensons there only serve ice cream, so my thai friends who come to Singapore are really shocked that our swensons here serve food and main courses as well. Because theirs serve purely ice creams.

We quite enjoyed ourselves. The cakes weren’t that nice, except for the cheese cake. They served carrot cake and chocolate cake as well plus some others but they were all pretty dry. My taste buds are easy to satisfy, but if it couldn’t get through me then i doubt it will go pass my sister whose palate matches that of Gordon Ramsey. At the end of it, the sister said she couldn’t look at any sweet thing ever again. Poor girl! Thats why i say, high expectations=major disappointment.

Other than that, the many selections of gelato ice cream were pretty awesome. Anyone who enjoys free flow of  ice cream will surely enjoy this. Variety is the spice of life and we were definately spoilt for choices.

When we left the place, we swore off sweet things for the rest of our lives.

Nadia’s surprise birthday party

Arrived at changi beach at 6pm in noi’s car. Couldn’t find parking space in carpark 1, the meeting place. Wanted to park at the single white line, not for parking zone but we decided against it. So noi drives off to the next and the next… and the next carpark. At the end we also don’t have any parking coupon so still have to take the risk. haha!

Then we got down with our things and went to put our bags and prepare her prezzie. Noi write long poem so i also have to write a poem. what was it girl? With a shawl that keeps u warm, like our arms that wrap around and embrace our friendship forever.. Can’t remember.. xD Well u see we got her a shawl. so yea.. u get the picture. the whole time after that we just got down to help put together the big happy birthday banner while waiting for the birthday girl to arrive.

The panicking moment was when the orgnizer suddenly said okayyy she’s here she’s here….. all of u get ready! sheesh not ready at all lahz. Spray cans, party poppers, glow in dark sunglasses. ALL ON NOW! so everyone just grabbed everything they could and blindly went to hide behind this big signboard(thats shows the map of changi beach).

The thing is nadia is coming from the direction that we were facing our backs to, and we didn’t know that. -_- and we still happily crouch behind our corner  

luckily noi spotted in time,

Noi: eh i saw her.. she’s there.. she’s there…*Her eyes looking behind me*
Me: where… where…
Noi: *not hearing me at all* ehh she’s there…. she’s thereee…..
Me: *panicking n directionless*WHERE??? WHEREEEEEEEE!!!
Noi: Shift faster shift!!
Me: *huh…. WHERE IS SHE???!!!!*

So upon noi’s alert, we hurridley moved ourselves and went to crouch at the OTHER SIDE of the signboard instead. sheesh. Until this moment i still haven’t caught sight of the girl yet so i was just following blindly. Joe was leading her to us, she was a bit suspicious already but still not completely affirmed yet. The ancipation was killing and i needed to know where exactly is she now so i know when to come out with the spray weapons. And so i peeked…. and SHOOT i think she saw me!  I faster duck back up again. But at that same time they all started coming out and attacking her with the sprays cans and the party poppers and all. Think she really was quite shocked all of us was there..hahahah. Well i hope that she enjoyed herself on that day=)

*It’s a priviledge to grow old.*  Because many die young.  Denied of that priviledge  and don’t live on to experience more wonders of life. I guess we should count our blessings. Can’t wait for the new thing with me and my sister to be up!  Finally something worth looking forward to again.

Last but not least, to the king of Pop,michael Jackson. You will live on in our hearts forever. May God bless his children…

Vodka Night

This is the first time noi decided to organise her own chalet. And organise she did. Turned out that quite a little of our folks came, but it’s ok cos we stilll had fun. Tried her homecooked beehoon for the first time and the satays she penkan-ed.  Luckily no food posioning that night X) After that we went upstairs to chill out. Did something silly as usual. Threw a fire cracker out of the balcony, into the unknown, admist fellow chalet goers who were busy enjoying their bbq food, and who supposedly should get a shock of it but who totally did not. Instead only we got a kick out of it, laughing ourselves silly. In a world only we exist….I miss u so much baos! When is our next meeting? Zoo again, shall we??

Something random

Because of our laopa frederick, I got a chance to meet up with jas n meihua n did some catching up with them.

Even after 4 years of having not seen each other, we still managed to pick up where we left off.

somehow it was like being back in school again..

Strange.

A toast to never-changing friendship!

I believe that fate brings strangers from all different kinds of background together..

n then from strangers they’d become friends.

What a toad of a day

We escaped to escape theme park to scream our hearts out.

And wow its been so long since i last been there.

A couple of changes here and there, nothing much, they threw in a small haunted house n a new spaceship ride.

Not as heart-popping, blood pressure rising as i thought it would be.

But still, not bad.. brings back many sweet memories..

And yes.. i’m definately going to talk about the screaming frog incident.

I will try to recount everything as succintly n accurately as possible.

So we were at the beach, close to midnight, making our way back home.

It was pitch dark with just a couple of lamp posts every few metres apart.

We were walking across this long patch of grass, heading for the pavement which will lead us out of this ulu dark place back outside.

Just as our feets hit the white pavement for pedestrians, noi suddenly saw something which she told us was a blade of grass on her foot and attempted to flick it off.

So the thing fell to one side right in front of the 3 of us.

At that moment, we peered down hard in utmost concentration like any curious human being, trying to look at exactly at what’s that green thing that fell onto our dear friend’s foot.

There was this 3 secs of ultimate silence.

Long and hard stares, face bent closer to it.

the longest 3 secs pause ever.

What is that what is that.

*brain processing fast*

3 secs it took for our brains to finally make out that this GREEN BLADE OF GRASS as Noi claimed actually had eyes n slimey webbed feet.

Our reaction came at the exact same time.

ARGHHHHHGHHHH..WAHHHH!!! Waahhhhhharghhhhh..argggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Arms flapping wildly, not caring if we left anyone behind with the creature, we sprinted off in front of each other, extremely petrified.

It turns out that it was a very very ugly toad. 

The poor guy.

I think it was thinking that, not only these gals brought me out from my grass habitat, u still had to scream at me like banshees in the night.

Just my luck that i landed on her feet while hunting for supper!

But as if we hadn’t screamed enough for the day already. tsk.

As they say, curiousity kills the cat.

Luckily no one was in the vicinity to hear us screaming like that.. hahahaha
