reach for the stars

Pls don’t stop the music..music

Bollywood stars, are in town! :)

Here to film their new movie De Dhana Dhan right here in the heart of Singapore are Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar.

And today i got a taste of what a bollywood film is like.

I finally understand now how the Bollywood song and dance comes together on set as how we see on tv.

During the starting part, when Katrina and Ashay started their opening act to the song, they had this awesome vibe and charisma about them.

The pair of them were truly interesting to watch and have great chemistry together.

Don’t know why but watching the 2 dancing really inspired and touched me a lot. They have so much personality and charisma.

Both can multi-task and sing and dance so well, graceful yet assertive at the same time. Two thumbs up to them!

The assistant directed us to the side of the pool and told us to be ready.

There were a few of us swimmers and our job was to linger around the pool while the stars act and dance.

There was also a take where we had to groove to the music together with the cast while inside the pool which was ahem, 2 metres deep.

Kinda like everybody dancing together and having fun. It was hilariously weird but fun.

In the background, i could hear the in Charge yelling to all of us, everyone..enery energy, more energy pls!!!

The adventure aside, I am still working hard to master the art of driving.

The most useful advice from my instructor so far is boiled down to 3 simple chinese word… “ 要看远…”

Somehow i felt his advice can be applied to living life as well.

So it has become a habit now whenever i drive i tend to sit up and lean way back so i can look far out into the distance to make proper judgement.

Whatever it is, i feel whats most important is to be happy during the process.

To enjoy the process and not just allow ourselves to be caught up only at the ending and only allow ourselves to be happy during the aftermath.

Take it slow and easy=)

It’s just life.

Everybody goes through it.

Basils and such

Sales is picking up,

Slowly more and more people are taking notice of our tiny thai outlet :)

Having a place with such good food but nobody around to eat is downright heartbreaking.

If only we could have a bigger place..

Then we could host a makan session for iEat and gang.

Big dreams gal….

But it is obviously too small, max seats 15 or so.

I am just grateful and happy for the postive feedback that has come forth so far.

Able to wake up to another day means I have earned another day to keep trying.

Continue to persevere.:)

Treasures in life

To realize
The value of a sister,
Ask someone
Who doesn’t have one.
To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly
Divorced couple.
To realize
The value of four years:
Ask a graduate.
To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who
Has failed a final exam.
To realize
The value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a still born.
To realize
The value of one month:
Ask a mother
who has given birth to
A premature baby.
To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize
The value of one hour:
Ask the lovers who are waiting to Meet.
To realize
The value of one minute:
Ask a person
Who has missed the train, bus or plane.
To realize
The value of one-second:
Ask a person
Who has survived an accident…
To realize
The value of one millisecond:
Ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics
Time waits for no one.
To realize the value of a friend:
Lose one.

It’s that time of the year again.  Really no point living
in the past. Forgive and forget bahz.

Happy chinese new year…

A day with the emperor

Yea i know.. the pictures says it all eh;) heh.

Today we had a long day of shooting for a commercial and it was hilarious because after hair n make up we had to walk to the car park to drive to the studio and people were just staring. It seem like for a second we were teleported back to the good ol gu dai (olden) days but just with modern technology. They must be wondering something is wrong ….what is the emperor doing outside? and on the roads of singapore?? and without all his ya huans(surbordinates)????

I got very excited upon reaching the studio because it’s my first time wearing such olden day clothes, didn’t think i would ever dress up like this. Well the emperor went up first. But of cos, he’s the emperor. The rest of his surbordinates were tasked to wait in a smaller room. I think I finished reading up all the magazines there. x)

But after the long wait, it was finally our turn. And I was all geared up to give my best on set. It’s not everyday i get to be a palace maid. And I think it’s a sign i haven’t been exercising much recently because after coming back, my legs were aching real bad from all the kneeling down.

Can’t wait to see the rest of the photos we took! Will post up more pics of everybody when i get them. Also can’t wait to see the final product..

Something random

Because of our laopa frederick, I got a chance to meet up with jas n meihua n did some catching up with them.

Even after 4 years of having not seen each other, we still managed to pick up where we left off.

somehow it was like being back in school again..

Strange.

how some things just don’t change..

kakaka!

We convinced ourselves we were cows for a second. *Mooooo~

A toast to never-changing friendship!

I believe that fate brings strangers from all different kinds of background together..

n then from strangers they’d become friends.

Inside the art of music

Yesterday went on this new channelU variety program show called Man VS Machine with adorable n cutie pie host/dj Lee Lian. It’s a donut episode, that introduces the 2 bosses of donut factories that make n produce man-made donuts and machine-made donuts. I had no idea what i was talking about with my cmi chinese, which they probably might have to just edit out my part.. or worse insert in subs when i’m speaking… X ) They will also be featuring da stylo mylo diva runway coach, Nixem in the first segment. And then it will be donut tasting time!Which was what all was waiting for. o_o haha. Will everyone favor the man-made donut or the machine made one? Stay tune to find out!

Back from Bali

It’s my first time to Bali and gotta say it’s a really beautiful island with their awesome beaches n sunsets, perfect for those who love the sun, sand and sea.

Good food, great scenery, really enjoyed myself there with the ladies.

What more can this girl ask for?

And for the first time in my life, yes for the first time i had no migraines or the usual insufferable head pains during the plane ride there n back.

MIRAACLE LA…

Must be the air there in Bali… low air pressure, smooth landing, or maybe garouda planes just rock.

Definately a place i will come back to.

Btw, have you heard about the curse of Bali?

They say if you go up there with a boyfriend or a girlfriend, it’s confirmed, more often than not, they will end up breaking up with each other for no rhyme or reason.

It just cannot be explained.

So everyone says to just go enjoy Bali with friends.

Interesting huh…

But it’s really up to the individual on whether to believe it or not. ;)

Our logging was at Bali intercontinental resort which is a convenient 15mins drive away from the airport.

Because the place is built sideways, it takes a whole 10 mins to walk from the lobby to our rooms! Like some grand palace…

The service was great.

And the foooddd… ahh the breakfast buffet was on the spot, excellent.

Freshly squeezed fruit juice, scrambled eggs, bread, butter and my fave, gouda cheese. * happiness already.

Me n jane.. goofing around on the coach=)

and the other dearies….

It was already night time when we hit the beaches, so didn’t really take much pics of the scenery.

But I’m really thankful to have had some really great company on this entire journey.  Hope that our friendships will continue to blossom.

Bali’s a truly great getaway.

The ppl there are friendly, they have great seafood, and the beautiful sunsets is luring enuf to spend ur entire weekend away from home, away from all of life’s worries and troubles.

Home sweet home

Really tired now. Still, I succumbed to the temptation of taking just a couple more photos before i head off for the bathroom ritual. ohh faith!!kaka..

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. Love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don’t. Believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy. They just said it would be worth it.
